Emerging Writers Program 24/25

FAWWA is delighted to share the news that three of our members have been selected for the upcoming Emerging Writers Program 2024/2025

They are: Soraya Acosta  – Fantasy, Vanessa Karas – Poetry, and Emily McGuiness – YA/Urban Fantasy.

In its first year under Writing WA management, this was a highly competitive round with an unprecedented number of 86 applications received with only 20 placements available.

All participants will be supported by Writing WA, a mentor, and their member Centre to develop a debut manuscript-in-progress. Writing WA is proud to be partnering with KSP Writers’ Centre, WA Poets Inc, Peter Cowan

Writers’ Centre, Out of the Asylum Writers, and the Fellowship of Australian Writers WA as part of this goal.
